Not really. Russia Tower and The Pentominium in Dubai, are also under construction and both will be taller than the Spire.

I can't believe this question is being asked; not only because it's been asked before, but because there are so many categories to list them!

Overall, Burj Dubai is the tallest ever man-made structure. Officially however, it won't hold any skyscraper records until it is completed. For now, Taipei 101 maintains the title of tallest completed skyscraper (to architectural top).

Of course, other buildings (ICC, Spire) will enter this list when they grow up.

Yes; in terms of full height, however....that TV Mast in N. Dakota is the tallest. Its around 2,063 ft, I think.

But the real prize to be obtained is the record that still is technically held by the Warsaw Radio Mast, at over 2,100 ft.: "THE TALLEST MAN-MADE STRUCTURE EVER BUILT"

^Yes, it passed it back in the summer; what I meant was that it won't go into the official recordbooks until it is finished.

It is NOT yet under construction, and has over 350 feet of fluff at the top above the tallest floor...

Spire will be second tallest to roof when finished. I think its roof is taller than Shanghai Center also, which also seems to perhaps have some sort of large fluff element at the top that may count as a spire.

True. They don't count Sears' functioning antennae in the height of the building . To me, that's stupid. If they were there just to look pretty though, they would be counted??? That is a pretty lame reasoning.
