Good to hear!
Happy to have one in the new strip near Bison... and yeah, I was guessing the same thing for the new building in front of Sobeys.

I wonder if Swiss Chalet may be looking at the unpaved lot on Henderson and Chief Peg?

How about instead of a building they leave that land alone as room for an interchange

These buildings are simple and cheap to build and have no value, they are not permanent structures. They can be removed in a day.

Diamond interchange doesn't take much space.

By: Murray McNeill

Posted: 12/7/2011 1:00 AM

"DOWNTOWN Main Street is about to get its first English-style pub.

Fox and Fiddle, a Toronto-based chain, will be opening its first Winnipeg pub/eatery next April in a former Toronto-Dominion bank building just off Main Street and McDermot Avenue.

Fox and Fiddle, owned by the Pegasus Group and with 20 outlets in the Greater Toronto Area and Burnaby, B.C., is the latest in a growing list of out-of-province restaurant chains jumping on the downtown revitalization bandwagon."

"Basil's is back.

After being forced to close his Osborne Village institution nearly four years ago due to a water-main break that not only completely flooded its basement but spilled up to the main floor, Basil Lagopoulos is once again in the restaurant business."

Pizza Pizza looks pretty close to being open too.

What is the third place going into that building?

Some of the greatest ideas rest in the minds of men that don't want to share!

Wouldn't it be a bitch if Edison didn't share his ideas?

I would rather see someone seize an idea that I had and run with it, then keep it locked up inside and become useless.

Went to that Los Chicos place on Kenaston, former Daquisto. Not impressed with the place as a whole. Rude serving staff, bland food. I'd take Taco Time over this place any day. $10 for guacamole was crazy.

Wondering if the likelihood of a labour dispute this fall in the NHL will stall any sports restaurant projects? IE, smart operators that True North are, why would they open the Shark Club in citiplace if there's a good chance there will only be a partial (or no) season next year? No doubt they want to open it during or just ahead of hockey season.

I'm having a brain fart right now....would that be the building just North of whiskey dix, sort of near the Woodbine? or is it another building further down McDermot that I can't picture?

Either way....AWESOME news for Winnipeg...especially if it'll be open a little later than all the night clubs in the area. Give Johnny G's some competition!
