^ No doubt they'll complain about another 432 Park (despite the huge rendering), but when the setbacks become more apparent and the cladding is much higher, they'll realize it's something special.

Funny how it takes until 650ft for civilians to start noticing significant new buildings in NYC whereas here in Vancouver 650 is the height of our tallest building

"Civilian", lol So, are we all military?

I think that a good term would be "those who don't waste time staring at buildings and have better things to do".

I hope the Park Lane is demolished soon, it's really an eyesore there on the Park. Yucky tower.

Yes, Yes, Yes! All of the above. We knew it was coming, but now that it's here it's time to celebrate this glorious facade.

Now, if only they could reveal what's hiding behind that covering on the CPT.

I know it's a fairly log ways off; but I really also wanna see how the lattice-work on top fleshes out.

But yeah...that east-west facade...

Mazels New York! This is what Chicago needs. So sick of simple blue glass. Terracotta and bronze fins all the way!

It's only a matter of time. This will catch on, as it already has in NYC. Resurgence in facade details incoming!

Everybody stay calm, but I can report that this building facade looks better in person, even better than I expected from the renderings (despite the cheesy phone pics). We have ourselves a winner here, a challenger to even 53w53.

None of us were around when they were building the iconic buildings of the last century like the Woolworth, Chrysler, Empire State, etc. But we're here for this now, and it is incredible to watch a tower of this class going up just a few short blocks from 53W53. I can't wait until we get buildings like 9 DeKalb high enough to give us some of its iconic features.
