gastown photo in waterfront centre isn't bad either but I'd shop around, their prices seems to be hit or miss on certain items.

Leo's is still there! And I highly recommend it. It's at 1055 Granville St.

They're closed on Sundays though. But Sunday is almost over as I type this anyway....

Thanks! They look like they will do. Hopefully they have the lens I want in stock.

King of Photos

For capturing the essence of Vancouver's supreme physical beauty, can anyone top this photograph I found on Flickr?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/iocmedi...7623247746303/

If it was just a little more panoramic and included Cambie Street Bridge, the CBD and Grouse Mountain, it would be the perfect Vancouver photograph.

By the way, this is what Vancouver looked like at the end of January 2008.

That's the great thing about Vancouver. It's never the photographer as much as it is Vancouver. The city is so goddamn beautiful that if it is sunny out, then it is virtually impossible to take anything less than a stunning photo.

Great Picture. It would have been nice to have BC Place in there too.

^ Ya good point, everyone who takes a picture of the false creek area from Granville island think they were a good photographer taking a good picture, but its really the city itself that made it look really good.

What I thought was an anti-Olympic protest was actually the Women's Memorial March in the Downtown Eastside. Anti-Olympics protests wouldn't get this many people out anyway:

Cherry blossoms, just in time for the Games:

Waiting for the bus. Strange to see this bus stop actually busy!

Another lovely morning yesterday...(Taken from West Vancouver but much of Vancouver is in the photo...)

Nightly crow migration and some ugly infill:

West End, in bloom:

Giant piping hot cup of inflatable coffee in front of the McDs on Main St:

A German plate! This car is for carting around German VIPs, or at least that what it said on the side of it. Cool though! Being a licence plate nerd, this is about as good as it gets:

If you really want to be a license plate nerd, you should notice its a manufacturers plate. All the Audi factory plates use the IN code for Ingolstadt. All the VW ones use WOB for Wolfsburg.
