Townscapes across India

Will add photos of smaller Indian towns and cities to this thread. All Indian towns and cities have the same problems - lack of infrastructure, lack of administration and lack of enforcement of laws - resulting in urban chaos. Hopefully someday these problems (mostly a result of laziness and corruption on part of citizens and administration) can be fixed. All cities and towns have enormous scope and potential for development.

Guwahati, Assam

Guwahati is the commercial capital of the state of Assam and the gateway to India's northeast. It is on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River.

The might Bramhaputra river and the Railway station.

Another photo of Guwahati from Gandhimandap..you can see the Nehru Stadium, the B/P/ Chaliha Swimming Pool complex, the Deshbhakta Tarunram Phookan Indoor Stadium and the Landmark Hotel.
