Alright, I was gonna do a little more commentary but it's just too time consuming and no one really wants to read stuff, so, the pics: (note: most of these were taken more as a photo journal and so the compositions aren't very impressive but it gives a little taste of each place.)
Ich bin ein Porteno
Now, I've never been across the Pacific Ocean to Japan or China but I imagine cities there to have arcades and streets like these all over...
Overly tourist (but beautiful) San Telmo on a Sunday afternoon...
Great photos - I would have thought the mountains some overdone CGI if it wasn't for all the great photos preceding them.

what a treat.. i love seeing south america. buenos aires is just too handsome for words. santiago is not exactly handsome, but the mountains and the dryness make it a sister to los angeles.

Is that the view of Fitz Roy from Lago Capri? I've got almost that same great photo of Cerro Torre hidden completely from view.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Buenos Aires is every bit as beautiful as people say and then some. To me it is as if you took New York City and Paris and jumbled it all up.
Homeinmyshoes: You would be correct We got really lucky as the mountain came out the clouds for about a half hour or so just as we arrived at Lago Capri. On the bus back to El Calafate the following day we overheard people saying that they never got to see it.
