Don't worry, he will find a way to disappoint. I've gotten "optimistic" about a few of his designs and been disappointed every. gd. time. I don't understand why he thinks white windows (or silver) are a good fit for this style, but he keeps repeating this mistake.
This one seems fairly similar to Ritz Carlton Residences with the New York-esque Deco crown. I think that one turned out badly, but it's in such a skyscaper forest, plus mid-block site, I've never actually seen a good photo of the crown. There, he even had the Farwell Building to use as reference with its dark windows and he STILL went with almond-colored windows on the new portion.

Ogden Commons or Gateway? Ogden Commons is the low-rise CHA one by Mt Sinai, so technically not part of the IMD - and I don't think it would need caissons anyway. If it's Gateway, that's an awesome surprise... they clearly said a few months ago that they weren't looking to break ground this year on the hotel/res towers.
