This is the first i've heard of this building so i'm sad to hear it has been halted as it would have made a significant contribution to the Portland skyline.

height reduced, still on hold, I believe most tenants have since found new locations.

A huge shame for portland, but hardly surprising with the macro economy here.

TMT to restart construction at Park Avenue West in 2013

Portland Business Journal by Wendy Culverwell , Business Journal staff writer
Date: Friday, November 4, 2011, 5:29am PDT - Last Modified: Friday, November 4, 2011, 7:24am PDT

TMT Development Co. will restart construction of its long-dormant downtown skyscraper Park Avenue West in late 2013.

Wendy Culverwell
Business Journal staff writer - Portland Business Journal

TMT Development Co. will restart construction of the long-dormant, 27-story Park Avenue West tower in late 2013.
It’s been 33 long months since March 2009, when TMT said it planned to halt construction of its soaring tower at 728 S.W. Ninth Ave., citing financing issues. Construction crews departed a month later, leaving a deep pit surrounded by a fence in the block west of Nordstrom.

Looking Good!

This will definitely make a big impact on the skyline. Fourth tallest in Portland, and will help fill in the gap between big pink and the rest of downtown.

Very strange way of construction, normally you build your steel floors around the core continuously. But PAW is going steel right up one small side of the core. Looked at a TON of construction pics on this site and never seen one go up this way.
