I like it. Especially because it looks more like early 20th than early 21th century.

I like it as well. I have always liked Montreal for the mix of architecture.

What is the status?

The new rendering is nice however...it's a little too much like 1000 de la Gauchetiere, especially on the peak. In that regard I kinda wish they had gone with something close to the original rendering but I shan't complain too loudly, any new highrises will be, by me, most welcome.

I see that winner Malek (or whatever that jerk's name is) is blocking photos from being downloaded from MTLurb (as if he took them himself), I guess assholes never change.. no wonder he got banned from SSP

^ bah who cares. We'll just have to take more pics ourselves (well, not me, I live out on the coast). And if Mr. Gino doesn't want to share, we ought to return the favour, picture and information-wise.

They're already using some infos, renders and pictures from SSP, so i dont see how he can possibly believe that he is legitimate. (unless hes delusional)

Malek was the most thin-skinned, insecure and biased of all the regular contributors to the erstwhile Quebec SSP Forum. I couldn't stand his hectoring and stereotyping of English-Montrealers. More than once, he accused me of using his photos without authorization; every time to which I showed that he was wrong (they were not his photos!!). Apology was never forthcoming (But rather more of the usual...."you Quebec Anglos blah blah..."). This from a guy that was born in Syria.
