You don't know how right you are. I'm a software developer, and I know of two companies (both in the Hamilton area) that make apps and games for autistic kids.

That's quite a health care campus that's been developing around the General.

Wow had no idea this was even being built.

What's the timeline on this, and anyone know what employment numbers will look like when up and running?

This new facility will be a real step up from the current hodge podge of buildings and services over at Chedoke. In talking with staff at Chedoke, there seems to be a real sense of excitement in moving to the new building.

A sense of excitement to move North of Barton street by the tracks? Man, Hamilton has turned a corner

Well, perhaps not the location per se, but for the new facilities! Hopefully, it will complement the other medical services developing around the General campus to create a new institutional/commercial hub on Barton.

Still wish that Mac built this on the Chedoke site, but now wonder what the end game is for the west mountain hospital since there will be fewer services offered there by the time this building is complete and a lot of the facilities there are in disrepair. Are they looking to sell the land for more subdivisions? Last parcel they sold still hasn't been developed--think it has gone to the OMB now.

^ Yep, eventually all of Chedoke will be sold off. I say within a 10-20 years time frame.

This is a pretty big building. I could easily spot it coming down the Jolley Cut

I was looking up Wellington from Cannon the other day and it jumped out at me as well. Although it's not actually that tall, it jumps out because most of the rest of the buildings South of it are only 3-4 stories tall.
