I couldn't find a good vantage point to take a photo, but today the workers were prepping the boxes that concrete is poured into to form columns and inserting rebar for the first above-ground level pour! (Not sure the proper term for those "concrete column cookie cutter" boxes). We should be seeing the first above-ground levels imminently!

They've already poured another sub-level, and the work is now less than a metre below ground level.

The image above is from their facebook page, displays what I'm talking about. Their caption reads "One more floor to go and we're above ground!"

Thanks O-Town and Bartlebooth for teaching me the term formwork!

Nice to see this one move ahead. Can't wait to see the finished product; this will look good and add a lot to this area.

*On a side note, look at those ugly buildings on the block behind... typical-ugly lot-to-lot buildings

This one is really coming along, and it will make a huge mark on the skyline due to it's location.

Today:

This is going up REALLY fast now. Around 3 stories above grade this week. I visited the sales centre and I wasn't overly impressed with the interiors of the condo units. Kind of drab, not as modern as what I've seen in the new Lamb buildings (Gotham, SOBA).

No...definitely not Classic at all...more of a slightly cheap feeling take on trendy.

This should start rising above the trees at the top of the cliff soon.

That is definitely not what I experienced when I visited the sales office. Caesartone or quatz countertops, tubs with corion surround, gravity sink, etc and all finishes with low VOC as standard is definitely not cheap. The model in the sales office may not be glitzy as other developers, but the quality is definitely there.

Place Portage as your view to the north....mind you, that's better than some of the "views" people pay big bucks for around town

This one's rising pretty fast. Went by today and it looks like forms are up for the 7th floor.
