It's Dawson, YT, which I got without the coordinates. Are those features along the smaller river associated with the gold rush or continued gold mining?

You are both right. I will crop out the coordinates next time. I thought maybe I did it in time!

The first one was Dawson City, Yukon. You can see the old gold mine mounds. My family went up to the yukon in 1987 and we spent a month up there. Truly amazing and serene up there. We spent a week at a place called Quiet lake as well, which was great, except for the Grizzly encounter!!!!!!

The second post is grasslands national park in Saskatchewan.

So far mine appear to be too easy. I try to zoom out enough to include multiple geographic features but maybe I need to go closer. Anyway I'll try again.

Don't worry about it. I'm gonna have to admit - I CHEATED. So, I'll stay out of this guessing game until after someone guesses Suburbanite's newest pic correctly.

Still not hard enough, man.

With a simple check of one of my maps that is St. Andrew's-By-The-Sea in Southern New Brunswick.

Been there its a very nice town.

Is it my turn or whoever guesses SHOFEAR's?

Maybe this board just knows Canada too well.

Saint Andrews is one of the best places to go Whale Watching in the country. Throughout the summer months the southern end of the Bay of Fundy is home to several different species of migratory whales.

Okay, I've got it. It's Fort Smith, right at the border of Alberta and NWT on the Slave River. I thought that looked like a very large river, and there are surprisingly few rivers that flow from east to west in Canada.

Feel free to go ahead dmajackson, it seems to go okay with two running at the same time.

^ That's Scots Bay, NS, in the Bay of Fundy.

Looks like a tentacle!

There actually is a settlement in this image, though it is a little bit hard to tell.

Edit: I like the Google Map version slightly better, North is still up.

Damn, that was fast.

I love the western coastline of Hudson Bay. I had the opportunity to fly over much of it this past year and it is unbelievably spectacular. The satellite photos only give a hint of just how much.

Yep. Didn't know if it'd be guessed fast or not.

Cape Split and the Blomidon Peninsula seperate the Minas Basin from the rest of the Bay of Fundy via the Minas Channel. East of the photo is home to the world's highest tides.

In the photo there is; Cape Split (narrow cliff to at top), Scots Bay (and village) in centre, Blomidon Prov'l Park to the east, and all of the land is part of the North Mountain range of the Annapolis Valley.
