I still can't believe I have never been to Paris. Your photos make this fact even more regrettable.

Wonderful pictures.
I really need to see PAris again, I was so unlucky with the weather, we had torrential rain
for 3 days straight. I'm jealous.

There are Stalingrad squares, boulevards or avenues in lot of French cities. A tribute to all the people fallen there against nazi Germany.

I am not aware of a Stalin street or avenue on the other hand. But I know there are Lenin avenues in some communist cities (especially in the "red" suburbs of Paris, like in Gennevilliers).

^^^ Yeah... this isn't really the place to discuss that but I wanna say I hope those streets will be renamed someday. It's not that Lenin in particular was a bad man, he appeared to be faithful to his ideals which is highly respectable but the socialist economic system actually implemented by the former communist establishments of various countries of the world totally failed. Everywhere it's been tried, socialism produced the disastrous results that we all know (dozens of millions of dead during the past century, either from poverty or from cruel treatments). Eastern Europe is still suffering from the sequels of that crap. I'll always be disagreeably amazed to see that some still believe in socialism over here in France, isn't it just amazing? What's wrong with those of us? And I'm not talking about social democracy that's completely different from socialism but unfortunately the ideological position of the French Socialist Party (how in the hell do they still call themselves like that?) is confusing, ambiguous and even usually hypocrit . I'm not saying that the free market as it is for now is a perfect system either but it's still way more effective than socialism, by billions of miles. That's it. And thank goodness no, there's surely still no Stalin street in our country. Damnit...

For what? For forgetting history? Don't try to rape history, man. The one who does not remember history is bound to live through it again.

Wait, should we name some of our streets Adolf Hitler to neither forget him nor rape history? The forgotten Germans like Paul Schneider who were murdered for opposing the nazis would cheer us from heaven then : well done! never forget! Adolf Hitler avenues! and to me socialism is actually nothing better than nazism (national socialism), it's no accident if the communists were allied to Hitler until he attacked their holy Soviet Union.

Did I? Read peacefully my previous comment again, I didn't write anything mixing up the city and brutal dictator Stalin. The streets and squares named Stalingrad are simply to honour the epic resistance of the city against the nazis, that's fine. I guess we could rename them Volgograd as they did in Russia though. Also, Leningrad found again its original name Saint Petersburg, socialism is dead almost everywhere indeed, except for the French left wing . Them retarded jokes, we'll cure them somehow. Say yes to social democracy (free market regulated) and screw socialism (fascist tyranny).
