Great pics! I remember how surprised I was when the notice went up last fall about the start of the blasting. It was certainly interesting hearing my cupboard contents rattle every time a blast went off.

I was surprised the telephone pole didn't go down! Wonder what they're going to do about that (if anything's even possible?) as they move forward. Will be interesting to see what it looks like at the end of the year.

At one point hadn't they said they were going to excavate for both garages (99 and 121) at the same time?

If I understood correctly, the second tower is going to be 36 floors? Pretty good. At least we won't be having another Claridge Plaza situation.

According to an add in Le Droit, construction on tower 2 will start in October. And since it's a rental, it could be possible.

I'm curious to hear how this project is coming along. Does anyone live or work near this and can give us an update?

From Brigil's website.

Quote:
The 121 Parkdale excavation has been completed since the end of May, with more than 70 feet of dug that will accommodate 6 floors of underground parking.

Since June 13, the underground parking level has been completed at the 6th floor. The completion of the 5th floor is scheduled for the end of this week. BRIGIL President, Gilles Desjardins confirmed that the construction work is progressing on time for this luxurious 32-storey condo tower that will be part of the APOGEE series.

According to Brigil's website, they should have completed the second on level of parking last week and will now be working on the final level. Given the pace they've been working at, this would take around another month. They are getting close to hitting grade and the building should start to rise up over the fall.

Has anyone been past this project recently? The last update on Brigil's website was from November 22nd and they were working on the 4th floor. I can't see anything yet from the Queensway on my way to and from work.

see page 11 (e.g., posts 205 and 207) Take it for what it's worth, but just below that image on Brigil's website, it still says

Not impressed. They took the same design they've had for a few years and extruded it up. If they are going to build 65 floors, they had better come up with a better design.

The height doesn't work with the area. It's butting a lower density residential area and 750 meters from a rapid transit station. In contrast, 900 Albert is in the middle of a filed ripe for development at the intersection of two rapid transit lines.

This has turned into an ego project to replace Place des Peuples IMO.

The website still says that it'll be 32 stories high.
