Downtown Brooklyn is getting so dense that Manhattan's mid-sized towers from that angle might be blocked form view.

above I mindlessly said . .
"Enjoy those tower 4 shots from atop tower 1 while you still can.
Once tower 3 is up . . that greatest of all vantage-points of tower 4 will be kaput.
It won't seem so impressively crisp when tower 3 visually obliterates the north face" . .

My bad . . only part of the North face of Tower 4 will be hidden from that vantage point.
For some reason I temporarily and stupidly forgot . . that the tower portion of 3 . .
was not being built all the way out to Greenwich Street . . duh ! . . obviously because
the 9 or 10 story podium juts out to the west of the tower section.
But we do . . from time to time . . have to eat crow.

If only I could disavow my yearning for 175's four corner crown spikes . .
and my disgust of the Ingles mess going up a block North of this.

I'm fairly certain the core is already taller than the Millennium Hotel. I think the next local milestone will just be passing 4 WTC. It's already taller than everything else around it.

An idea of the street level retail that will be integrated into the bases of these towers, bringing more street life to the already bustling area...

H&M to open at 4 WTC

I feel sorry for the folks stuck working in 30 Hudson across the river.
They have to see this construction rise from their offices every single day!

This is catching up to 4WTC rather quickly. If the unseasonably mild weather continues, maybe it will have eclipsed it by spring with 2WTC at ground level?
