Canucks are going out in the first round. I predict Nashville in 6. The Preds have been on fire 🔥 since ASG.

Nothing wrong with that! I wouldn't be going to any playoff games if I didn't have season tix. Cost me $86 per playoff game. Sold one game and it pays for the round.

Jets finish 4th overall/2nd in the west and top Canadian team. Finish as well on an 8 game winning streak. Not bad after being projected to miss the playoffs at the beginning of the season.

Time for a whiteout

LET’S GOOOOO!!!!

Great to see the Jet's young talent on display against the Canucks last night. Lambert looks to have great speed, and seeing Chibrikov score his first goal was a treat. Great response from the crowd as well.

I don't think anyone is taking the Av's lightly, but it seems the Jets know what they have to do to have success against them and reach the second round.

As for the rest of the teams, I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one first-round upset. I don't think the Oilers should have too much trouble against the Kings, but the Oil has had some bad playoff performances in recent years.

Dallas vs Vegas? Could be scary for Dallas if they're not on their game.

Vancouver vs. Nashville? Again, could be scary for Vancouver.

Boston vs Toronto? I'm not a Leafs-basher, but....it's Boston. I'd be happy to be wrong, but.....Boston.

The difference in the Jets-Avalanche series could come down to goalkeeping. We can't compete with Mackinnon and the offense. However, we have the superior defense, and we have to shut down the Avs top line, and get to whoever is in net.

I have complete confidence in Hellebuyck and Brossoit

I would also say that the Jets forward group is much deeper. Avs have huge firepower and are top heavy, but don't have depth down the lineup. Their defence is probably better than ours, but goaltending has been an issue for them. Mackinnon is a game breaker and probably the biggest thing carrying the team.

Absolute gunfight in Winnipeg tonight, go Jets go! I can proudly say I've now listened to a Jets playoff game from the porch of a resort villa in the Caribbean lol.

The Jets played a Colorado-style run and gun offensive game, and won. If they can now shut down the Avs top line, and play a more defensive game, it could be a short series.

Shots were 46-23 in favour of Colorado. As I said before, it may come down to goaltending.

Game 1 seemed to lack almost any defensive play from both teams. It was to the point Morrissey got assists on a couple of the Jets goals.

Hopefully the Jets can find a way to balance the offense with some defense. Having 13 goal games is not how you are going to have a deep playoff run.

I think last night was an outlier. The jets can’t score 7/game, but they will not be allowing 6 each game either. They showed that if they get into run and gun games they can come out on top. Look for much tighter defensive structure in the following games.

^disagree. I think that this is going to be a last goal wins with total back and forth all series... even with Helly.

Wouldn't it be amazing if our downtown was this bustling at 930 every day? One could dream haha. Those safety concerns would melt away slowly with more eyes on streets and more business attracting a critical mass.

I like the extra fireworks bit at the end.

I will say, could they not do better than large dump trucks to block access?

Also, 'cheap' tickets to tonight's game currently available on Ticketmaster. I guess they're giving a discount on the game day hold release. I don't think they did this for game 1.

Edit: As I post this, the tix have gone fast... Sorry not much left if you were interested.
