I totally agree with you vid.And yes when it comes to public transit, Canada is very strange country.

Currently, I would describe Canada`s public transit like 100 years behind

But hey we are great at doing public transit studies and EA`s, lol

No one beats a Canadian when it comes to the compilation of studies and environmental assessments.

It's not so much the livery for these Design Line buses that seem to look silly. i think it has more to do with the lightweight RV styling with a shorter wheelbase, that doesn't really resemble heavy production city bus.

Ottawa, Ontario - A little bit kitschy, but overall I'm a fan of the design

Wow, I haven't seen one of these on the road for years. These were quite common in the middle 90s if my memory serves correctly.

I'm not sure whats kitschy about those Ottawa buses, I think they look great. Of course maybe thats because Im not Canadian. If there was a US agency that had an enormous stars and stripes motif as their livery, I would more than likely think it was exceptionally lame.

Here is Tucson's new livery. They have new buses but also repainting the older ones too. Looks a bit strange on the old buses but I like the design.

I long for the day when they can build a clean propulsion bus without sacrificing aesthetics (camel bus if you will). Otherwise this is a good looking bus. I like the green.

I'm guessing the only reason the UK has them is for nostalgia.

Las Vegas has a fleet of double deckers with TWO staircases operating on the strip.

The ones operating off the strip with one staircase can carry about 80 people.

What do you mean by "sacrificing aesthetics?"

In Vancouver, Hybrid buses look exactly the same as regular buses, except it has a "Hybrid" sticker on it.

Many of their streets don't have the room for articulated buses to turn.

Our new small electrical buses that went into service this summer and covers the smaller streets and sidestreets where the regular sized buses don't fit..

The problem with them are that they are virtualy silent and operates narrow places where people may bike or walk on the street, creating a risk as they can really sneak up on you..

FLorence and some other Italian cities I noticed have those. Not the same model of course, but super short, less than 20 feet. I didn;t like them at first, but they grew on me. I think they were also electric.
