I was just going by that page

"55 Luxury Townhomes From the $600s"

but anyway, it's moot because that section of Walsh Tarleton would still have service.

Nope. 55 units, exactly (see here)

Though hookem is right, if the development is what's within the blue line, there is a little bit of office/multifamily, though it's grayed out. Not sure why, I guess maybe that's not what that site is concentrating on selling at the moment.

This is the only recent thing I could find about the apartment component (from Feb): http://www.mystatesman.com/news/busi...reek-ma/nqSNZ/

I live in the area and drive by often, and they are definitely building at least one large (not townhome) building there, but it might be the office building or a parking garage. I'll see if there is more info next time I drive by.

Sorry. Guess I need to be more specific...55 "single family units."

The rest of the sight is "greyed out" because this particular website is only marketing the single family units. Whoever gets the contract to lease the office space will create another website. The same will go for whoever gets the multifamily management contract.

I did drive past there yesterday, and the multifamily is definitely under construction, along with 1 office building right now. So, a pretty nice little infill development that brings a little added density to that part of town.

The sign on the multifamily indicates it is now called "The Westerly". Here is the website: http://westerly360.com/

Seems unfair IMO.

Maybe they will add in the tolls as the planning process works it's way through the timeline.

They're adding *new* lanes for the work on 183 (6 new tolled lanes in addition to the existing non-tolled lanes which will also have improvements). The 360 plans include a version with tolls and some options without tolls. Keep in mind that 360 runs through some of the most scenic areas in Austin and it would probably do more environmental damage to add a ton of new lanes, tolled or non-tolled.

And expanding from 4 free lanes to 6 free lanes in some parts.

Right, tolls will be discussed when funding options start being discussed.

Only because it's pretty poor reporting by community impact.

There's _9_ different scenarios, but they print up a story/table with only five.

Even though the I-35 expansion won't be completed until 2024 at the earliest, all of the dirt moving and construction going on between Ben White and Onion Creek gives one a sense of hope. It's a dim light at the end of a very long tunnel.

They are doing the 2nd half of the 51st & I35 improvements. They're working on a bypass lane for cars on the south feeder for people who don't want to turn at 51st. It'll reduce a ton of traffic to the 51st, 35 intersection. Then they are going to work on the roundabout.

Watching the 183 Bergstrem Expressway progress is great. They always seem like they're making progress.

I was in Austin several months ago on business and drove down 183 to get to the airport. I was surprised at that time how quickly things had progressed - I'm sure it's much farther along now (assuming they're not using the same project manager as Mopac, haha).

TxDOT is now going to throw more money at Austin because we passed Prop 1 in November. $1.3 billion over the next 5-10 years.

$204 million added to the $46 million from the proposition for Loop 360 overpasses. There would only be lights at Mopac (south) and 183 (north).
$102 million for Texas 71 east of Austin. Overpasses at 5 lights. When completed, no stoplights from Mopac to I-10 in Columbus.
$119.5 million for flyover bridges at 183 & I-35.
$159 million for various changes to I-35 from Holly Street to Oltorf.
$477 million set aside for future I-35 projects.

Maybe we can get that I-10 North designation for 71 with a little more work west of Mopac.

That'd be awesome. Either that or I-12 along Hwy 290 would be helpful.

I-12 is supposed to have a spur that comes in along 79, not 290, from College Station.

That being said, I'd love to have two interstates on approach from both the east and west.

Yeah. I forgot to say 71 to 290. Columbus to Junction.

Following 71 to Brady, then 87 to Lubbock, and connecting with I-27 would be nice.

I think I can fairly confidently say I did not know that. My thought was that I-14 was supposed to cut through B/CS on its way to Killeen and then 79 would connect to that (didn't know it would be designated I-12, if that's the case). My mention of I-12 was my own dreaming that would be along the 290 corridor from Austin to Houston...and that would be the full length of it.
