Thanks! Eh, I wanted the house to be kinda retro too, but I don't know why I put it on the ceiling.

I never thought rendering with Kerkythea would take so long. My model must be complex.

Anyways expect another final render of the kitchen on Saturday or Sunday! I changed a few things so bare with me.

The chandeleer above it. I place spotlights, but I wanted them to be dimmed. I also just placed another light so it could light up the scene, but the chandeleer light was the light I was talking about.

How does the render look?

.

The renders look fine, but if the chandelier is the light source it
wouldnt cast one strong shadow of itself on the cupboards. It
looks like a big light source is coming from the left some where,
its like you have sketchup sun on.

not only that Toyota, the shadows of the hanging lamps on the wood at right is not in same direction of the main light on left according the sink shadow below. Then this sink is dangerous in some way, too high. I would put the half. But a nice model any way. Of course not my style.

Final Kid's Bedroom Render

So here is room 1 out of 4 bedrooms. It is a kid's bedroom, with my favourite hockey goalie poster!

Sorry for the pillow, couldn't find a better one.

Sorry for the "flying" bed.

Haha, the window looks clear because I put a preset called "thin glass" on it.

well, lets say you have room to improve.

here is a render I did at Sketchup

What renderer? What are the "presets/settings that you used for the kitchen?

Im using kerkythea.

Also for the bed, I used a preset called thin glass for the window.

I used VRAY, but you can get that quality with Kerkythea. You will need more detail in your modelling... better textures, etc, etc

in your kitchen, you used a refrigerator that its just a cube with textures, instead of one where everything, including the water dispenser, are modelled. If everything was modelled, you could use different materials for each element. Same thing with the stoves... the stove button textures even have black drawing lines, making the final result look cartoonish.

there are few reflections in your image. Use reflections in MORE materials... most stuff in the real world reflect, you just adjust how much and how they reflect in Kerkythea...

are you sure the refrigerator is the correct height??

another problem is that you are using a point light. Look how hard are the shadows. Oops, I mean shadow. Because there is only one. Not realistic. If its a small light bulb, to produce those hard shadows, then its a VERY STRONG ONE!!

use more lights, use rectangular lights (shadows are not hard), etc, etc

Ah, thank you Trantor! I will redo my render, and do more modeling! I'm almost finished, so expect another kitchen render tomorrow with Trantor's advice.

arent there too many narrow doors in that hanging closet (or whatever is the name of a kitchen closet in english)? Also, that dark wood door panels in the lower closet look hmmmm... kinda 60s, 70s.

well, whatever. I will try to help you to make your render more realistic. The design is up to you.

I must be sincere, I guess I never read the name of the person who asked about the exterior renders of the house. I thought it was you. Thats why I posted the images (you asked, your thread). Since it was NOT you asking for the images, I will delete them.
