@DanHarperPhoto
The @RRMTrail looks incredible while it winds around the river bends. No wonder it's officially the longest skating trail in the world!!!

The @RBCConvCtreWpg commands a massive 2 block area and takes over the downtown landscape covered in beautiful white in the winter!

The @truenorthsquare looks extra nice from the air with their new(ish) @scotiabank logo on the side.

Thanks to it’s colourful colours, the @Richardson_INTL #RichardsonInnovationCentre is the most colourful thing in the #Winnipeg winter landscape.

The start of the @RRMTrail is massively active! A great source of #Winter #exercise!

skaters and walkers on the @RRMTrail

And here at the end of the @RRMTrail it might not be as active as the start but they have one of the coolest #warminghuts!

Funny how a bridge that received so much resistance from the people is literally the most recognizable and iconic symbol of winnipeg

That, and the CMHR. And the arena. And The Forks, if you go back far enough. IMO people need to be constantly emended of this, especially when a new development proposal is introduced and the tiresome rants about "not one thin dime of MY money" and "fix the roads first" seem to get the bulk of the media attention.

This is also why things shouldn't go to a public vote like the P&M debacle. We would never get anything done.

There is a restaurant on the bridge with washrooms, the sewers system cost was around 1 million so it was infamously dubbed the million dollar toilet. Wasting tax payer money on what the media also dubbed ‘the penis bridge’.

By "the media" you must mean Tom Brodbeck, since he was the one who would never shut up about the so-called "million dollar toilet" and the "dink bridge", as he so eloquently put it.

I remember Harper having a press conference in front of the bridge back in 2003 I think and he cited it as an example of wasteful government spending. The washroom and accompanying plumbing was of course a waste but the bridge itself has turned out to be a fantastic addition to the city.

The airport pic above is terrific. The facility in the foreground is RRC's Stevenson Aviation campus.

Bartley is easily the most impartial journalist in the city, bar none.

Funny how this view from the other way around, like coming south over the Osborne Bridge into Osborne Village always looks so good and dense....from this view...eeewww.
