Yep. The textbook definition of "infill". I was walking there a month ago and I noticed the "dorchester" project poster and wondered what it would be. This is pretty much what I had imagined. Rental, so should go up quickly.

It's perfect.

Fits in well with its Commie Block neighbours.

Jesus.

Pretty sure most out of towners would have been staring up at the CN Tower back then and not at the car lots. It was still a huge novelty back then being only a few years old.

LOL, ya and the fact that it was posted by Urbmtl was not a dead giveaway. Seriously though there is nothing unique or "Montreal" about that style. It's been played out up and down the east coast. Also this was not a jab at Montreal as I was merely saying there are much better designs and much better examples of a "Montreal" Style.

Ya it looks really lazy. Built though it may turn out nice for a little tower with decent cladding.

It's gone through several design changes. I have to say I liked the last version the best.

You dig a comment I made months ago just to troll me ?!? Seriously ? Also, you deny that there is a Montreal style only to say that there are better exemples of such non-existent style ? Give it a rest.

Le Dorcester is another that just screams Montreal to me even if it may not be unique to that city.

I think it may have something to do with the loggias , a style that is not unique to Montreal, but extremely common here because the city actively encourage promoters to use them instead of protuberant balconies.

That tower in the 2nd pic isn't 771 Yonge, it's 637 Yonge, a different proposal entirely, about 3 blocks south of Yonge & Bloor.

Months ago? I went back a few pages to get caught up on stuff. Don't be so easily offended when I'm complementing Montreal's new built form.

Here are some examples of "Montreal style", you're correct I should have provided some to show what I meant and I'm sorry. They are nothing like that design that could be in any number of cities. Montreal has and is putting up so many amazing and unique buildings at the moment to be proud of.

Also I'm not trolling you so I'm sorry as well if it's come across like that. I'm just interested in the subject. I mean if I was actually trolling you I would take a page out of Whippersnappers book and troll you like she trolls me. Which is almost every post in every discussion. WS just can't get enough of me.

Yeah, my bad. Still, I didn't even remember what project it was about. Also, I'm not offended in the least, no sweat.

Did I read TorontoDrew's reference to WhipperSnapper as she correctly?

Exactly my view. Trudeau will both give you a big hug, take a selfie with each of you, explain to you how your differences create a more diverse Canada, and then you can all go to a Skyscraper Pride Parade.
