Freki invades Sweden

Me and my girlfriend took a week long road trip trough Sweden..

We're both into nature so the primary focus was nature walks, but we did visit/stayed in a couple cities, so it's not only trees and lakes..

Anyways here we go...

The route..

We start off with the drive from Copenhagen to Karlskrona

Karlskrona

Final part is us going Beaver "hunting" on the Sandnäs peninsular..

We never did find any beavers, but we did find trees they have cut down

And finally the bridge back to Denmark..

The End..

Well! here we go, once again Scandinavia setting the great example : when I see their towns, I always keep on my mind the average cleanness and shape of the French, Italian and Spanish ones and then it's striking, Latin Europe needs to learn the lesson from this. Guess it just takes some responsible, respectful good citizens to keep towns that well preserved.

^ Relax... indeed it kinda lacks some "grit" which usually brings an additional charm but there's nothing wrong in saying they're very cool for taking good care of their places. In fact as far as my previous post is concerned, it only meant that all of us on the continent truly have some good stuff to learn from one another. Besides, it's very frustrating (to me at least) to see lots of buildings neglected in Madrid, Paris or Rome. I should say in London as well and I don't know yet about Germany but I'm pretty sure it needs some improvements too. The Scandinavian way seems an excellent subject to focus on in this respect, although they surely have some other faults but that's a different story.

later edit : wait a minute, now that i know exactly what's called grit or gritty in the forum slang, I changed my mind, grit sucks and I wish no one lived in it.

Wonderful thread and pictures, Freki!

I love to see those landscapes of the north european countries, like is Sweden. I´d like to visit Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Must be spectacular!

I´ve liked all your pictures. You did a very nice trip seeing those fantastic landscapes. Those towns are pretty too.

Thank you for the pictures, congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!
