Thanks! Looks like the weather kept most people in. I was surprised and poor in aesthetic alot of the architecture was/is; I would have though that, given its proximity to NYC and early industrial wealth, that it would look better.

Sadly Newark has demolished ALL of its brownstone/historic townhome neighborhoods. There are none left, only small pockets exist. The Ironbound is great though. It may not be as beautiful or historic but it's lively. It's too bad the day was grey.

Sad but true. James street and some areas around it have some nice brownstones. The ironbound, though littered with many ugly vinyl boxes, does have some gems. Thanks for holding NJ down Nexis.

I dated a Portuguese girl who grew up in this neighborhood for a couple months. Gorgeous and rocked my world. She dumped me.

love that place.

the vinyl housing is more than made up for by the tilework on many of them. hey its interesting at least!

seabras is my favorite grocery - its awesome. i swear seabras owns half of brazil.

i parked in the parking lot shown in #10 but you didnt take a pic of the Iberia Peninsula restaurant across the street YUM! love Ironbound!
