^Awesome, thanks for that!

I can't wait to visit Manchester in the future, not only as someone fascinated by cities, but as a huge fan of many of the great musical acts to have come out of there...The Smiths included!

Your photo tour has made me want to go there even more. I love the contrast between the old industrial buildings, and the sleek modern condos.

Now THIS is a town I definitely didn't spend enough time in...
One thing I did see, which I couldn't find in this set, is that pedestrian bridge (between two bldgs.) that looks somewhat like a Chinese finger trap.

Not too sure about which bridge you mean. Do you mean this?

Thanks for the comments guys.

The pic over to the right, and above the The Printworks pic? Yep, that's the bridge.

Me too. Manchester is legendary in my mind, not just for Joy Division, the Smiths, "Madchester" and the Stone Roses, etc., but also for being the birth place of Anthony Burgess. His autobiography is a rip-roaring account of the early 20th century there.

P.S. Simpseatles, do you often frequent the Morrissey pub in London Ontario? Is it a good place?

Trafford, Greater Manchester.

The Trafford Centre is a nice but mundane shopping mall, which houses all the larger chain stores.
