I really like the architecture of this tower. It draws your eye up from base to top

Tetris and Jenga are diddling each other.

I'll be in Manhattan late this month and I hope to capture some construction pics.

CetraRuddy's Midtown Skyscraper Now Half-Way Up, See New Renderings of Its Landscaped Deck
March 9, 2017
Quote:
When we last checked in on Algin Management’s 62-story rental project, the 700-foot-tall high-rise was just emerging above street level. Now the curvaceous high-rise has rocketed some 35-stories into the Midtown West skyline, well past its halfway point. Now several of its lower floors are being enveloped by a sexy facade of curved glass and aluminum panels.

More DETAILS & RENDERINGS in the post here.

I was hoping the facade cladding would be a more seamless, but the deep window recesses, curved glass and overall look is pretty sick. I'd give it an A-/B+

Concrete superstructure is close to topping out at Algin Management's 62-story, 426-unit mixed-use tower in Midtown's Theater District. Designed by CetraRuddy, the 674-foot tower features an organic massing tied to the distribution and size of units. Rental units will start on the fourth floor, with the lower floors split among 16,514 square feet of retail space and amenities for the residents.

Cladding of the tower, which features a glass window wall with metal panel slab covers and thickened screen, has surpassed the one third mark.

This is one of the best exterior designs overall for NYC ever. Seriously.

And it's quite prominent from some spots.

Cladding like that on a supertall would be a game-winner.
