I had time on my hands and was playing around with sketchup. I put a 500 on the Air Urban Center lot, a 550 on Royal Wood Plaza, and a 650 on Carl's. Ambitious heights, I know, but it looks very nice. I especially like this view from the roof of the Leonardo, with building rooftops visible behind the City and County Building:

Hi Airhero

Hi Airhero,

Thanks for posting your view/wishful thinking of what you would like to see in Downtown Salt Lake. It makes it fun and interesting to see other forum members view and imagination of towers they would like in our downtown.

Anthony

This is my vision for the APS building site and the properties on the noth side of that fronting 100 South.

My artistic skills are not great so I drew a crude map.

There is currently a pedestrian walkway between the LDS conference Center and 100 South. I want to extend that walkway past Kilowatt Commons Park where it will bend west and connect to the Salt Palace.

I would like to see twin 45-55 story buildings fronting 100 South on each side of the walkway. The top floors of these buildings would be Hotel rooms and condos and the bottom floor would be retail. The west building would have a hotel geared toward business travelers (convention goers). The east tower would have a night club and house a hotel geared toward entertainment.

I would also like to see a 35 story building where the APS building currently is. This building would house a 200 room hotel, condos, office and ground floor retail.
