10 year old Colorado pictures, Part 2: Everywhere except Denver

These are 1 mP pictures from about 10 years ago that I found on my hard drive. Part 1 featured Denver. This thread is
everywhere else.

We'll start with... oh... how about Colorado Springs.

Nice train station. Unfortunately no longer used, as there are no passenger trains
coming to Colorado Springs anymore.

I get a kick out of the urban cowboy statuary.

Next, let's go to Fort Collins:

Fort Collins has possibly the widest streets in the known universe. They put all
sorts of things in the median of them. For example, parking spaces:

Also for example, freight train tracks:

Let's go to Boulder next:

Panorama! ------------------------>

Another panorama ----------------->

Let's go to suburban Denver now, specifically Broomfield:

I don't think this little tram exists anymore. Might be wrong.

Still in suburban Denver, Englewood:

Enough of the suburbs. On to one picture of Canon City:

Now 2 of Greeley:

Now a few from Manitou Springs, which is a neat little town tucked along a stream in a canyon.

And now, Pueblo:

This is the town of La Junta, ancestral home of my people:

Panorama -------------------->

And by "my people," I mean literally. This is named for my grandfather:

... It's one block long. The only thing on it is a local quarry company. I understand there was once a feed lot. Very prestigious.

Finally, we'll end with a bonus, Cheyenne, WY:

That's all.

Funny thing about your Broomfield pics - pretty much all of those things are gone.

The Canyon Cafe shut down sometime around 2007-8, followed by the Starbucks (not) seen on the right. The building on the left and the Canyon Cafe building were are torn down and replaced with playgrounds/open space. Apparently, the soil was so soft here that the buildings started sinking. Nice going, Broomfield. Oh, and as for that tram/shuttle, that's no longer running due to the economy tanking and no-one actually using it. They built quite a lot of infrastructure for the shuttle - dedicated roads and bridges. A lot of the surrounding retail across Interlocken Loop has since vacated and moved (back) to Boulder.

Hey, glad I caught this before it slipped off the first page.

The Colorado Springs train station is a restaurant, has been for years (Guiseppe's Old Depot). Otherwise that town looks almost identical, sort of sad. The green building on Tejon is gone, now where the USOC is. Otherwise, not a major change since before I was in high school. Although the uses are better...

Ancestral La Junta...haha.
