It's great to see the height requirement for this list on the rise.
Footing and Foundation permits, DP to follow.

185m we are hearing for Delta.

How we can know a height if we don't even know a floor count yet?

I counted roughly 48 floors in the Delta Edmonton render. The first floor looks abnormally high ceilings plus a big roof feature. 185m is very possible based on that render.

185 is reasonable for 56 floors. It's a tad high for 50. See how it plays out.

The taller of the U Condos depicted 5 posts up by waterloowarrior is also 55 floors. It should give a rough idea of what kind of height Edmonton can expect at the bare minimum. I imagine the Edmonton proposal will have a more substantial podium.

Why can't a number ever be reported as fact in Edmonton?

Things could be very different should Toronto change to a DP process as well. Information on new proposals will come much later in the process. Don't expect any revisions along the way either. This is of course after land use has been finalized.

That's very regressive, and not very transparent.

I could see something, like that being pushed through, had Ford won though.

Ford's an idiot that did almost nothing but took credit for everything. He doesn't have a clue on planning.

It's a more concise system than what we have now. The difference is developers should be more likely to use as of right zoning. In this situation, there's no need for a drawn out public consultation process as that has already been conducted through developing the land use bylaws. 45 Bay is employing as of right zoning. Because of this, we won't be seeing those rezoning reports with the elevation drawings either.

One of the better towers on this part of Bay Street. Units are enormous too.
