Fascinating stuff. I never realized how green and lush Tehran is. I don't know why, but I always imagined it to be a rather hot and dry place. Thanks for posting these.

Wow, this is one of the most interesting photo threads I've seen. Like pg, I never thought of Tehran as green, and didn't realize there were sonwy mountains that close. Very cool stuff. Thanks

If we had seen more photos like this on our news programs, more people might understand that we have a lot more in common with Iran than either the US or Iranian government has led us to believe.

I found some photos on this Flickr set that had also included some Austin photos.

I had to post the smaller version of the vertical shots since the full sized ones were rotated.
