At the rate they're chopping down the room sizes, I expect a 2-bedroom microloft to be a set of bunk beds with a really big sheet of plywood between them to simulate having your own room...

A friend picked up a micro 2 on the 10th floor facing north for 210,000 fully furnished.

Parking is extra tho for anything under a "real" 1 bedroom

Micros start at 300sqft I believe.

440 SQFT

Comes with everything you see in the sales suite.

The first queen bed also has a built in dining/office table.

I like the idea of microsuites but that unit is not a two bedroom. This is at best a junior one bedroom that someone stuffed a bed in the living room if not a bachelor apartment with two beds in it.

That 2 bedroom doesn't make sense to me. Who are you going to share that space with, where you aren't sleeping in the same bed...

Wow that seems tiny and I mirror they may call that a 2 bedroom but it isn't a 2 bedroom just like my townhouse isn't a 6 bedroom just because I can stick a bed in 3 rooms + dining, living, and family room...

Looks nice though finish wise so that's a plus. I just think 440SQ feet is super tight. My 1 bedroom in Park Place is 570 give or take (a 1 bedroom btw) and it seemed tight after a few years even for just my wife and I. When we moved into the town house it was like "WOW all this space we aren't on top of each other 24/7..."

I guess for a single person though it works out.

I completely agree with you it does seem tight.

However with the proper storage solutions it could be attainable. Apparently additional storage was added to the sales suite.

I still feel you could maybe rent it out for $1000/month due to it being fully furnished.

If waves 1 bedrooms are currently being rented for approx 1100. I expect some student will pay around $1000 for it furnished.

epic fail.

I went to BCIT for interior design and this 2 bed micro suite would get a big fat F in all my courses. Unless your only hobby is watching T.V. or surfing the net on a laptop (certainly no room for a desktop for gaming) you would quickly become bored and frustrated with the unit. Plus the second bed should be no bigger then a twin, then maybe they could put in a real wall and make a solarium too! (Only kind of joking... seriously.)

Actually you could read a book too, but ear plugs would be in constant need as you would need to be pretty quiet to not bother others who may be sleeping. Seriously, those movable walls have no effect on sound deadening and reduction.

1 bedrooms units that are 600 square feet+ at Ultra go for $1000-$1110 above the 20th floor. I doubt at 440 square feet and fully furnished anyone would pay $1000 unfortunately.
