They only need to go down 50 feet. So this one should rise fast.

wikipedia.org says "Numerous reports say that the tower has been raised to 70 stories again" is this true in any way that we know of?

No way. They can't do it.. to many units and not enough space for the elevators to accomodate.

It will be 57 floors, trust me.

I think it's interesting how the site is surrounded by the steelwork that both protects the sidewalks and acts as a raised stand for the construction office.

Yes, they are working in a very confined space. This will end up being a very sleek condo-hotel tower.

From Bay St looking east, they are now digging in the clay layer.

From Bay looking northeast at the ramp from Adelaide and the Bay Adelaide Centre in the background.

Still a lot of rubble and parts of old building foundations in the northeast corner of the site with the Bay Adelaide Centre on the other side of Adelaide.

Looks like a granite boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago in the last ice age. Maybe they could use it in their building as a conversation piece.

From current over at www.urbantoronto.ca / www.flickr.com

Trump excavation taking place, with BA cladding going on across the street.

I'm glad to see this project get under way but they cannot be almost done excavation. That's absurd. The 195 metre Shangri-La Vancouver went down nearly a hundred feet for its excavation and Trump is almost 50% taller.

I assume that Trump will have underground parking and a limited amount at that since it is downtown?
