Sizzling Seattle

It's Sunday and I'm gonna take a light rail ride.

We're starting off in dt Seattle.

Had to get off the rail at the last stop and go to the back of the line
to ride back to Seattle. I thought I could just stay on and ride back
but that wasn't the case so I jumped on a metro bus and rode back to
dt Seattle.

Pike Place Market

The Bite of Seattle

Alki Beach

Seattle's Madison Park, Leschi & Madrona hoods on Lake Washington

View of the Seattle skyline

We are roasting here in Seattle. Temps nearing 100 all week.
Cooled off in Kirkland today.

and the rest

Thanks for stopping in and stay cool Seattleites. Hope you enjoyed.

I have been watching the weather out there....how odd for it to be so hot so many days in a row there...I see you hit 94 yesterday, and near 100 the next couple days! The average high is in the mid/upper 70s! Meanwhile we are having an unusually cool summer in the midwest and east.

PS I love seattle.

It's so God-damned hot out. Any degree over 70 is just obnoxious.

Nice photographs, by the way!

That's like saying any degree under 50 is just obnoxious. In my opinion anything below 40 is too cold, while anything 90 or above is too hot. Although it doesn't get "obnoxious" until you're 30 or colder, or 100 and above.

I can handle anything up to 80 unless I'm taking a long walk or being a tourist, in which case low 70s or upper 60s are best. At 80+, there better be a pool or AC, or at least shade and a breeze. On the flip side, yes, anything below 50 is inconvenient. Yes, I'm a weather wimp.

Great set.

I'm LOVIN' this! All this water everywhere and people complain? After last winter with all that snow and ice, people complain about some heat and sun? Yea, I'm breaking out a sweat walking around, but I'm gonna love every musty minute.

Here are some ways to enjoy this: hop on a ferry or the water taxi, camp at the water (or get in), sit in a book store or library, ride on the new train, get a wet rag and sit in front of the fan at home. Go from one to another every day.

Pwright, thanks for the great thread.

115 here today. Don't worry the record was 121F in 1995. I'd love to have 94 degree day. Looks like Seattle Beach Culture is quite different to Southern California...Nice photos, nice LR system!

Great photos (as always)!

We just hit 102 - a new all time record! I think I'm headed to catch a movie.
