The fact that it has pilasters and Juliet balconies doesn't make it a bad design. Imagine it without such
accoutrements, and it starts to be appealing even to a Modernist sensibility. That god-awful checkered thing two doors down, however, is a f*cking crime against humanity, especially considering that it appears to be a radical reconstruction of an older Chicago common-brick building. The red-brick thing is pretty awful, too.
