Keep this one updated, I check it's status on Emporis regularly. I love this tower, it is very sharp and modern!!! It will be a great addition to the skyline and add more density! I didn't even know this project had a thread for itself, anyway this tower is great! People seem to forget that average skyscrapers are boxes and that not all of them have these striking features that everyone thinks every skyscraper is now today expected to have by people on here. I'd take normal yet cool anyday over something that looks so out of this world yet horrible like we have here in Minneapolis "Riverside Complex" aka "Crack Stacks"...

Any building that doesn't have anything that looks bad about it and actually stands out as sharp, yet normal at worst wins my vote!!!

I look forward to seeing this one rise. I hear it's going to have an impressive light display at night, anyone know more about that?

I also can't wait to see a bunch more talls going up at the same time in TO. Trump (across the street), One Bloor, Shangri-La, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, L Tower... Downtown Toronto seems to be getting an awesome makeover!

I'm really excited for those projects as well, the only one I have doubts about is Trump seeing as how it's been 4 years with nothing in the making. I'd be willing to bet all those projects including Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Shangri-La, One Bloor, among others will be completed long before Trump even breaks ground... The Trump project will be downsized dozens of times to maybe 1/5 it's original height before we even hear a set construction date if were lucky...

the city of Toronto gave construction permits for it to start in Sept,07

So this all means that Trump Can start as of that date, but if they will is still in question.

Yes very boring, but second tallest under construction in Canada at the moment.

So its not all bad, & it adds to the density of our downtown.

Some updated pictures to peak the interest of those concerned?

"its in toronto, and americans don't care?"

Hardly - I'd like to see more pics, particularly how it will fit into the skyline. It reminds me of 7 World Trade Center - not the most envelope-pushing, but a nice handsome glass tower.

Nice looking tower, I would also know where in the skyline this will go. 700' is a healthy sized tower.

It's basically right smack dab in the middle of the CBD of Toronto, I believe. I think the top 10 stories may stick out to be seen from the classic Toronto downtown view from the lake.

On another note, I really like the mural art for the barrier walls surrounding the construction site. Is this something the construction contractor always does or is it unique to the building site? If unique, I think they should preserve the artwork to put somewhere on the building site once this highrise is completed. Something to commemorate the construction workers of the building.

If this tower were built in Minneapolis it would really stand out! It would be the 4th tallest in Minneapolis and be not even 100 feet shorter than the current 3 tallest with the IDS Tower leading at 792 feet... It would also probably be the brightest building to light up the Minneapolis skyline with an exception of the Wells Fargo Center.

It's interesting that they're keeping that classic facade from the building that's currently there. Though I wish this happened more in every city, it does sort of detract from the beautiful simplicity of this tower.
