Billboards

Hi,

If you have a frontage on a busy street and want to put advertising up,

do you a) need permission from the city if the advert is over a certain size

and b) which companies are behind all the advertising in Hamilton?

Yes, there is a huge collection of bylaws regarding signs.

there are a few big companies that control most of the big billboards.. cbs media, titan, pattison, etc

This is related and unrelated to the above question, but I've seen a few neon billboards around the city pop up lately. One on Centennial and I think another on Upper James? Kind of like the idea!
