Great pictures as usual, Canterra!

A question: How do they decide where to put the construction cranes on a building site? The two on Centennial don't seem to have any rhyme or reason to their placement.

Typically they go where the elevator shafts are, so they just build the shaft around the crane as it goes up. I just threw together a quick overlay of where things should be based off the floorplan document that Oxford has on their site for the east tower, and they don't seem to be doing this currently, but the placement for the cranes right now may be specific to construction of the parkade structure and we may see cranes later on (there were supposedly going to be 5 from what I recall by the time that the entire complex is built) in the more common positions once the parkade is completed.

Here is the overlay:

Should see them start to form the parkade floors soon, I bet they will be above grade by the end of the year.

Looks like the core for the first tower is only 2 floors below grade now! The core for the second tower is starting to take shape too, which is a surprise because i always thought the east tower was going first, with the west to follow when the east was done.

(I have to guess that these were Sept24, as they were posted on the morning of the 25th, but the sun is clearly in the west)
