^Nice addition but it just screams 60s to me. It looks like the kind of place that is going to be very depressing to look at in about 30 years.

The interesting thing about Hamilton is that it's a city stuck in the 70's, in both mentality, architecture culture and built form. It's so strange that a place so close to Toronto, which is always modernizing and at least trying to keep up with the cutting edge, is so blissfully stuck in another decade entirely. I'm appreciating the 70's vibe more as time goes on and the differences become more pronounced, it's quite refreshing in a way.

That's... really really nice. Kind of sucks that it's not going somewhere more central.

In your list of possible buildings to be built this year you should add 4800 Yonge i think.Once it's approved,Menkes will start to sell it.

/\ That looks nice. I like that Toronto is getting away sometimes from the protuberant balconies.

Ditch the split personality and it would be a decent ripoff of a design classic.

Menkes Fleur Condos looks like aA rps!

Noca in Griffintown (300 units, along the Lachine canal)

This one looks crappy:

Westburry district (Jean-Talon/Decarie) (700 units)

Amati (Griffintown)

It's extremely gratifying to see the redevelopment of Griffintown. I remember exploring that area on my first trip to Montreal in 2007 and wondering why such prime land was being left to rot.

It's a mixed blessing. I'm glad I got to live there before the condo boom started: 2002 was a time of 1200 sq ft raw lofts for $700.

Is it still filled with artists?
