If that means phase 2 will be taller and more slender then what's unfortunate about that ?

Phase two is not actually a separate building, it is merely an addition, an annex, attached to the original building. Its less tall and wider. It is unfortunate.

as rico points out phase 2 is just an addition to the present building under construction, check the rendering ,the smaller section to the right is phase 2, so when finished you'll have only 1 building (a very chubby building)

^ Ahhh - I see now - that is unfortunate.
Too bad they didn't plan an annex on top to go taller.

are you serious? we're talking about Montreal here anything over 40 floors might cause widespread panic in the streets ( I'll believe the 62 floor Cadillac Fairview project will go ahead as planned only when they reach the 41st floor)

Hahaha! The name of this building makes me laugh.. It's called "Altitude" yet it is only 400 ft tall. LOL!

Well it is Montreal, a city where a 5 story building is considered a tower.
