Whites "fleeing" California? Nice sensational headline. And your evidence is that the "estimates" show white population down .07 percent over four years, with no consideration of birth/death rates.

Your list isn't of MSAs. It's mixture of MSA's and metropolitan divisions, which are portions of MSAs. So you're kind of comparing apples to oranges.

Oakland and SF are the same MSA for example, not separate ones.

Yes,

Great points. However. Who would want to live in a place where a huge earthquake is inevitable and inflation eats away at one's earnings?
Housing and rent prices are astonishing. I would leave Ca. too.Regardless of the climate.

CA losing population?

As long as they stay out of FL, it's fine with me

This only scratches the surface of the massive exit of wealth out of California. The state is so poorly run that this downward cycle will continue. Unfortunately it's a beautiful state with some of the ugliest urban areas in the country. San Fran used to be so beautiful, but it's dying now. Sad!

Interesting conclusions, somewhat shaped by some biases? I have lived in Northern California since 1989, and while I won't address the comments here, I can tell you this: San Francisco is booming. San Jose is booming. Sacramento is booming. Heck, even Oakland is booming. And Fresno is booming. And along with our hysterical home prices and rents, wages are booming. Now you know.
