The tallest building in the US rightfully belongs in Chicago because that is the major city were the skyscraper was invented. Chicago is also very centrally located and easy to get to from anywhere in the US.

Well, it's obviosly New York. The Nordstrom Tower is going to be at least 1550' by roof height, so there you go.

Honolulu. Everyone wants to live in Hawaii, but they need the land they have to grow food for those that live there and for natural areas, not for suburban sprawl.

Tallest building in the country. Should be in,

Los Angeles, perfect weather, and amazing mountain, ocean views. Earthquakes shouldn't be an issue, I mean look at Japan and China they have huge towers as well, and we also have 73 story buildings and have never had issues.

I vote Manhattan because that's the center of the skyline.
Imagine if it were located between Midtown and Downtown!
That would be so awesome!

Washington DC will never have the tallest building in the town due to security reasons.

NYC, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, or Chicago. Maybe also San Francisco or Jersey City. They have the demand and the center city density to support an 1800+ foot tower.

I voted Chicago! But NYC would also be great as it already has the tallest building in the US.

Boring Oregon would also be an obvious nominee
