Yes you're right Bergenser! Although I kinda like to see whats going on!
It would be nice to see what stage the podium's at right now as I think they're currently putting on the second stage of the podium setback on one of the sides!

possibly, (and probably not an official record) the most photographed building currently U/C in the world.

Amazing pictures... I love it. The upper floors seem so skinny to keep going much more before a spire starts.

Nice to have you back again Slugbelch, happy holidays my friend.
I never noticed the lack of one of the cranes on top before, well spotted!

Also, I always thought the podium outriggers were all the same size, the one to the left of the picture seems smaller for some reason.....unless the one on the right is an underground section that won't be visible on completion!

navyweaxguy.....it kinda has that effect at the moment because the setbacks haven't caught up with the core yet!
As the setbacks catch up you'll notice how gradual it actually narrows.

From the mass concensus accepted height of 808m (subject to huge debate but not on this thread) it's currently only 42% done!

I think you're right that it might be underground.

As far as flickr goes, SWFC and TTC are shot more. I remember when I searched for them, I didn't post several (but kept them) from Shanghai and Chicago. Those cities put out about 100 pics per hour. Dubai photos are sparce and the building is rarer. You can visit once per day and see them all in 10 minutes. But, I noticed a change starting to build as it gets higher. It can't help but be noticed now in the city and it still has a long way to go!

Thank you Julito-Dubai for your post and to Slugbelch for some great new pics.

Just to make things a bit more complicated, there are floors that are bigger than 4.8m in height!

There are about 6 more floors at 5.5m from memory and few (more than 5) of the upper floors on the original diagram were 6.4m in height, not to mention another 12 larger mech floors to come!

A very yearly happy new post, to everybody how drunk I am!
