These guys are slow....but they're shoring in a corner of the site....maybe for townhomes? The towers are on the other edge of the site.
That Tata General Consultancy Services building is so ugly now. It was never really a looker but they somehow managed to make things worse. It will be nice to see Residences of 488 University get a few nicer looking neighbours over the coming years.

Man...now that those Edmonton towers are getting up there, it's getting to look fairly interesting.
Those other Toronto posts show some fair quality in the projects themselves.....hopefully the balconies look fine on 488 University and Wellesley Park.

I used to like that building. It was a handsome example from that era but they've made a mess of it. Thankfully they haven't done too much damage and the building can one day be restored.
Regarding 488, the office portion looks great but am a little worried about what they built above it. It's a familiar pattern in Toronto. The podium/lower floors tend to be decent but then we get a whole lot of ugly when they get to the main condo floors.

488 is turning out just as I expected. The glass to spandrel ratio isnt too bad. Theres no mismatched/mullion overload and it's not the obnoxious glossy variety of spandrel.
The red swimming pool level of E condos just needs a heart shaped jacuzzi, wood paneling and a cigar lounge!

Well done Edmonton. Amazing how 2-3 buildings can elevate an entire skyline so dramatically. Although smaller I like the Edmonton skyline as much as Calgary, Montreal, and Vancouver.
