Vancouver Sun Database on Restaurant Food Items

The Vancouver Sun has collected data on 65 BC Restaurants - nice work - even though they take a sensationalist slant in their reporting.

i.e. they're "shocked" that muffins have more fat than doughnuts! Duh!
or that the Earl's chicken caesar salad (oil, egg yolks and cheese) has way more fat than white meat chicken McNuggets (although it is surprising that it has more fat than a Keg blue cheese filet mignon with bacon (I suppose that's because filet mignon is not a marbled cut of meat, the portion size would be small and the blue cheese and bacon comprise a small portion of teh dish)).

Kinda goes to show that people who don't cook really have no clue as to what goes into their food.
i.e. when fat is an ingredient, there may be more than fat from deep frying.
