San Francisco was full of geographers

Went to San Francisco last week with all the other geographers in the universe for the Association of American Geographers conference. (Any other AAG folks around here?) I didn't come away with a great variety of photos, but I did what I could. I didn't really get much in the way of neighborhood pictures and even spent one three-mile walk without taking any photos at all. But whatever. It was a nice time in a nice city!

Everything but this one is just in chronological order.

The end.

Cool pictures. You did a great job showing off the city's density.

My area of study at Ohio State was a specialization in the Department of Geography in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences. So I guess I'm part of the "geography circle".

Great photos btw!

Hey Pigboy, UW geography represent! I couple of my fellow geography major friends attended, and enjoyed themselves. I wish I could've gone myself. Thanks for the photos!

Great photos PigBoy. I love the angle of this photo,

The clash of different architectural styles and of course the Bay Bridge.

Without trying (I'll take your word for that) I think you produced one of the best SF threads I've seen. You do seem to have got lucky with great weather--SF is not always favored with blue skies. But also you seem to have a very good camera and took your shots from unusual places. I'm guessing many of them were from Coit Tower (or at least Telegraph Hill) and some of the others were from an upper floor of a hotel (I think the Marriott). Am I right?

Love the layering of the bridge, port, and Oakland skyline. The pics of SF are great as well.
