I found them here - http://theottawacondosseur.blogspot.ca/

The next phase will be located immediately to the south (to the left), where you can see the Presentation Centre in the above photo. What looks like a construction staging site immediately to the north is actually the controversial 101 Champagne development site owned by Ashcroft (http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=197036)

That should hide the view of Dows lake for the Phase 1 residents. Right?

They are off-set a bit so that many Phase 1 residents will still have views. However those views will probably be mostly cut off by the Arnon and Richcraft towers on Carling.

Remember that there is phase 2 to build.
I'm not sure what side of the project that picture is showing, but if its on the south side, that's where it'll connect with the parking lot for the next phase.
If its not the south side, you're right, its very weird.

Been hearing a commercial lately so I went to check it out...

http://sohochampagne.com/

Now they're giving away a 3 year lease of a Mercedes to the next 12 buyers (see the fin print)

So is this a desperation move? How are the sales for this project?

Bottom of the line GLA 250!

Still I would be pissed if I had just already purchased a unit.

I would go back and have a serious discussion with the promoter !

And looking at the specific page for this promotion (sohochampagne.com/mercedes wich forwards to skycollection.ca/terms)...

Quote:
The Declarant will pay the security deposit and lease payments directly to the Lessor of the said automobile.
Declarant = builder; Lessor = buyer

So, the builder will give the money to the buyer so that the buyer may get the lease. If this is in one installment, not bad. But if it's a month-to-month thing, I wonder what happens if the builder comes up short on the funds or if there is a delay

Also, wonder where these funds are coming from...hopefully not from the reserve fund which is often underfunded by the time the condo board takes over

And this one made me laugh...

Quote:
The Declarant reserves the right to display an advertisement on the vehicle, such advertisement to be of a design and wording chosen by the Declarant.
So the buyer may or may not be driving a rolling billboard for 3 years

If I was one of the next 12 buyers, I'd just request an equivalent discount off my unit. Less $$$ to mortgage and less CMHC premiums to pay.

alent discount off my unit.
No, these are two separate things. Promotions/discounts/marketing do not come from the condo corporations reserve fund. Think of it the same as a discount that the builder would offer, out of their "bottom line"/pocket.
