It’s official: Publix has signed a deal with All Aboard Florida to open at the 3 MiamiCentral project in Overtown.
The grocery chain will occupy the ground floor of the project, with just 26,671 square feet of space.
Publix has recently been opening smaller-format stores with a “hipster vibe” geared towards millennials, but it hasn’t yet announced plans for the Overtown store.
A Memorandum of Lease also appears to show one level of parking for Publix customers, with 93 spaces.
The lease will run for an initial term of 20 years, with options to extend it for another 40 years.
Publix has been granted the right of first refusal in the event of a sale, and also has the sole right to operate a grocery anywhere at MiamiCentral, including the adjacent station.
