I think with Aker Brygge, Tjuvholmen, the new Opera House etc. that Oslo has be the best place for architecture in the last 5-10 years at least on a per capita basis.

Hegau Tower in Germany by Murphy/Jahn. Ever since its completion I've wanted one for Chicago. It's too bad Jahn doesn't get many commissions in his own hometown.

Some of the best glass around can be found along Wacker Drive in Chicago. My personal favorite:

111 S Wacker

Look how perfectly it reflects it's surroundings. Even more impressive is the second picture where it is reflecting a round building which you would think would make every distortion apparent, but 111 delivers pretty accurate reflections of it and reflects itself perfectly (where the corners are chamfered). The round building has similarly nice glass and is called Hyatt Center.
