LOL, They'll have newer trolleys in Argentina than we do in Edmonton!

Not for long though... our system is not long for this world

I believe those are the last 80 of a fleet of more than 250. The rest of the buses were scrapped so at least these 80 get to live on, on another continent.

Thanks for the pics. Unfortunately, those buses will probably last longer over there than the new trolleys will here. They could have just used the same electrical equipment and put it in a standard new flyer bus shell (x40/60LFR) for 1/3 the price. That's what they did with the Brill trolley's electrical equipment when they got rid of them. It's also quite a common practice with trams and subways in Europe, where they use the same base drivetrain from decades ago (why fix something that isn't broken?)

Wow, that is so cool. Hard to believe there will be a big freighter sailing down to Argentina carrying a bunch of buses stacked on each other.

Well the trolleys aren't fully accessible. But I do agree - we could've kept some of them >___<

^^ They *would* be accessible if they put the electronics in the newer shell. It was proposed at one time, but the main argument was that there was no room for the batteries. Guess what, they are now on the roof of the newer buses, so the argument was BS.
Btw, the TRAMS society has at least one for their museum.

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don?t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin? in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don?t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories......
