Sherwood Lanes

Home of ‘a lot of bowling legacy,’ Sherwood Centre closes its doors

I assume that whoever bought it is going to do something big with the property. There's already a fair amount of apartments in the immediate vicinity and with the parking, it is a pretty big lot. There's a fair amount of retail at this corner, so maybe it could become an even better node.

"The Sherwood closed to the public last Wednesday (July 18). Following a youth bowling school this week, the doors close permanently on Sunday (July 22)."

I read this article online Sunday. So it was just written ahead of time in the past tense and filed away to be published later. But somehow it was run early and nobody corrected it. That's how much local news cares, I guess.
