I wonder if the yellow safety railings on the antenna sections will be removed after it is completed or if they were designed to be hidden by the radome.

I hope they dont leave the yellow rings arround the antenna structure when its finished.

1wtc will be only be 23 feet shorter than the CN tower by pinnacle height.

Look at the impact this has on the island!
As you can clearly see in this photo, the island of Manhattan has plenty of growth opportunities throughout !!

Had to do a triple take yesterday on my way up the NJ Parkway just after exit 117, there is a nice marsh clearing to the northeast and on the horizon you can see the tower. There are a couple more spots within the next few miles up to the Raritan River crossing where you can make out the top maybe 30 floors, so happy the skyline is back to be seen from such unexpected locations.

Will be in the WFC tomorrow, as well as around the grounds getting some shots, look for them at latest Sunday afternoon.

it really is much more pleasing to the eye aesthetically. just beautiful, and so befitting of america's top city. all of the new works together, and doesn't fight the surrounding skyline or feel as if it is simply a bunch of tall building props---perhaps Dubai comes to mind. a high price was paid, but, as usual nyc and americans did it right. God bless all of those who silently sleep.
